The festival season will soon be upon us, and it's up to Coachella to pave the way. This season there's no compromise - you're either maxi or mini. The trick is to make it look like it's not been planned - messy hair and oversized sunglasses to hide that cider hangover. Forget wellies (I hope), go for statement sandals - I still recommend gladiators - with teeny tiny denim shorts, tasselled accessories and tops, or a long floating dress with a tropical theme (how about parrots!?). Kate Bosworth got it right with some bright sandals, short denim skirt, and a tasselled bag. Try the look with some cowboy boots and a short dress, in this season's pale shade.
