Playing Around

Playsuits are great, aren't they!? It takes a bit of courage to wear them, but this year they're available for every shape and size. Team with a belt and blazer for an edgy and stylish look. Short and playful is great for a flirty summer look, or go for longer in the leg for sophisticated cool. I'm quite literally obsessed with this Miss Selfridge number for £45. Miss Selfridge are right on the money at the moment. Don't forget to pop in store for their Gossip Girl themed range too!

Pick of the Day

The floral trend is so beautiful. It suits pretty much everyone and makes an outfit. I always check out the floral ranges in shops first for some cute finds. I love this tea dress from Miss Selfridge for £37. Wear with a tan satchel and some cute flats, and you're sorted for a summer's day shopping! Switch to some wedge sandals for an evening barbecue, and you're sorted for those balmy summer nights. Completely flattering for every shape, and ideal with a tan. I think I'm in love!

Double Take

Denim-on-denim is another of those trends that I felt a bit skeptical about. Now I'm a complete convert! Simply add a pale denim shirt to dark denim skinny jeans, and you're there. To break it up a bit, add a printed or floral Tee underneath and leave the shirt open. For the braver of you out there, try head-to-toe denim, and accessorise with denim bag and shoes. This faded shirt is from New Look for just £20!

On the Fringes

Thanks to the onset of summer, Coachella and the festival season, fringing and feathers are back in! Think Cowboys and Indians, and you're nearly there. But don't get too carried away! It's best seen in accessories, not head-to-toe fringed dresses. This is fringing for the faint-hearted; try some tasselled boots, or a leather bag with tasselled edging. For festival chic, try these Oli.co.uk fringed boots with a short denim skirt and massive aviator sunglasses. Instant festival cool.

In the Nude

Pastels and nudes are top trenders rights now; barely-there shades are great for spring and summer - a girly twist and ideal for showing off a tan! But there is one thing I always say to invest in, and that is a pair of nude heels. They instantly elongate legs, and go with practically everything. There are no faults to these dream shoes! My favourites? These £65 Topshop lovelies. They have a hidden platform so they're much more comfortable than you would imagine, and add those crucial inches, and they're so simple they really do go with everything.

Pick of the Day

In light of the oversized clutch fetish going on, my pick of the day is also a clutch. This Warehouse studded clutch is £25! I love it because it's edgy and perfect for spring and summer. For a night out, try and wear it with a simple dress and bangles, and during the day, team it with skinny jeans and a grungy Tee. Did I say how much I love this clutch?

Bigger is Better

As with anything - the bigger the portion, the better it is. I love going out on the tiles, but always seem to have to share my stuff out between friends as I can never fit it all in my clutch! Oversized clutches have been on the scene for a while, but I can never get over how much I love them. Olivia Palermo has just brought it back to the fashion forefront, and you can snap up a look-a-like from Florence & Fred at Tesco for just £10! Once more, I find Asos comes up trumps with their beautiful range of oversized clutches. Grab this one for just £18 and wear with some killer heels. It's also bang on trend for faux animal print, and in black it will last you season after season. An investment piece for pennies... a dream come true!
