My first ever bum bag was a Disney one from my visit to Disneyland Paris. However, bum bags have seen a revival in street cred recently, seen on the catwalks of D&G, Ashish and Louis Vuitton. Slowly filtering down to the highstreet, it won't be long until we see bum bags as the choice of fashionistas everywhere - and not just tourists and OAPs! Try this Topshop one for £25. Kill two birds with one stone and buy it in lime green too for the acid-bright summer trend.

Leather Luxe

Leather is all over the catwalks this spring and summer - from jackets to tops to dresses. But the best way of wearing leather so far, has to be the leather shorts! They are super-cool and look so stylish. They've been seen on all sorts of celebrities, including Whitney Port who carries it off with amazing effortlessness! I adore these leather shorts from Oasis for £60. I'll be teaming them up with a lace top and super-high boots for some Gothic glam.
Pick of the Day
They first appeared on Chanel's catwalk. And now they're everywhere. Clogs! How something that should be so dumpy can be so chic, can only be down to Chanel. The favourites on the highstreet right now are these Topshop slingbacks for £80. Whatever you do, don't miss out! Get your Topshop pair, or splash out a whopping £850 and get the real Chanel deal. It doesn't matter what you wear them with, just don't be seen without a pair this summer...

Jungle Beauties

It's all about the exotic prints! Big butterflies and flowers are adorning most of our springwear. But the catwalks have stepped it up a gear... Welcome to the parrot phenomena. Parrots are printed on Tees, dresses, bags, skirts and anything else you can possibly think of. Now, I must credit this find to EJStyle (follow her on Facebook here) who spotted this fabulous frock in Monsoon. Not available online until June, Monsoon's Cosmic Parrot Dress is a sure-fire sellout at just £65.
Acid Brights
I've been resisting the urge to babble on about bags since my first post "I Heart Accessorize". Now, I can't hold it in any longer! Everywhere I look there are gorgeous and tasty acid-bright bags. From pillar-box red to electric blue back to neon orange, they're literally all over the place, and pulling together outfits wherever they go. Oranges and reds go beautifully with monochrome (hello officewear), and greens and blue are perfect for jazzing up a spring wardrobe and making a pale outfit pop - all these nudes and pastels around, they need something achingly bright to make them really hot! I adore this orange lovely from Debenhams for just £39.

Festival Season

The festival season will soon be upon us, and it's up to Coachella to pave the way. This season there's no compromise - you're either maxi or mini. The trick is to make it look like it's not been planned - messy hair and oversized sunglasses to hide that cider hangover. Forget wellies (I hope), go for statement sandals - I still recommend gladiators - with teeny tiny denim shorts, tasselled accessories and tops, or a long floating dress with a tropical theme (how about parrots!?). Kate Bosworth got it right with some bright sandals, short denim skirt, and a tasselled bag. Try the look with some cowboy boots and a short dress, in this season's pale shade. Personally, I love this cutie from AX Paris on Oli.co.uk at £35.
Pick of the Day
Ethnic and chunky jewellery is all over the place right now. Bib necklaces and thick rolls of faux pearls may make for heavy wearing, but they are so worth it. Wear with a plain Tee and jeans, and tie back your hair to really make it centre of attention. Try this Asos bib necklace for £24 - bang on trend with bright spring colours and perfect for adding zest to an outfit.
