It seems that the hat-du-jour for this Winter is the Fedora. But if, like me, hats are a tricky subject to try, opt for something a bit simpler. I like this Topshop beret, £10, because it's cute and stylish without making me look like a complete idiot. Keep berets tilted on your head, and towards the back, and if you have a fringe, try not to tuck it away - wide foreheads are deeply unflattering.
