Limited Edition Scattered Bead Maxi Dress

Whilst still basking in the fashion feast that was LFW, and greedily picking at Milan Fashion Week like a box of chocolates after Christmas dinner, why not indulge in something a little more highstreet? Every now and then, Limited Edition highstreet collections will produce a gem of something, and Topshop is no different. The minute I saw this dress, I wanted it. I literally have no idea what to wear it to, so it might just be a loafers-and-handbag-to-the-shops outfit for a quirky vintage feel, but for £150, I might just have to put on a party as an excuse to wear it! It's so beautiful, it almost deserves its own runway.

Milan Fashion Week

So who has been sneaking a peek at what our Italians have to offer for SS'12? Well, in case you missed anything, here's a few treats...

Gucci opened Milan Fashion Week in 1920's-inspired style (left), whilst celebrating their 90th anniversary. Not to be outdone, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, sent down the runway a veritable feast of colours and patterns for their last secondary collection, D&G (right). I suppose that's one way to go out with a bang!

LFW SS12: Day Six: Menswear

Not to leave anyone out, the menswear designers put on quite a show for the last day of London Fashion Week. Lou Dalton kept it simple (left), and I think his collection was exactly what I want to see on Britain's streets this coming Spring! Topman Design - much like its sister - loves to play with fabrics and patterns as well as colours. This collection had a real tribal theme to it, with purples and blues and yellows dominating the prints. Lots of luxe fabrics added texture to the collection.

And so, the men finished LFW. I will admit, there was nothing spectacular about it, but it was definitely wearable. This week has been all about wearable collections, with simple contours and the expression in the fabric and colours. Once again, my favourites had to be the likes of Erdem and Mulberry, but I think that some of the newcomers sharpened their teeth this week, and next LFW we'll really see them flexing their fashion chops.

I can't wait already!
